I’d Rather Be Lonely

The story:

Chris J. Trigg wrote this song very soon after his first date with Carola Trigg. It was a wonderful whirlwind romance and they were married on June 4th, 2017. It was a beautiful wedding! Chris found the love and peace that seemed to elude him most of his life. Carola was his angel. He adored her.

At the wedding, Chris had Janis Mullen sing the song he wrote for Carola. Victor Wells and Rick Van Krugel accompanied her on guitar and mandolin.

Sadly, we lost Chris from Legionnaires’ Disease on Oct 7th, 2018. Chris was battling lymphoma at the time and was undergoing chemotherapy which compromised his immune system. It happened suddenly and we’re all still in shock over two years later.

Our gift to Carola was to try to record and perform this song for Chris.

Recently some of Chris’s musician friends all got together and recorded their contributions remotely and exchanged them over the internet. For posterity’s sake, we videoed most of our performances for Carola to see.

We all love you Carola and we’re all so sorry for this awful heartbreak.
